Heart Space

Heart Space is a volunteer-driven, grassroots nonprofit and art studio committed to enriching the Hatteras Island community by supporting teenagers through art and wellness initiatives.

At Heart Space, I organize events and promote them on several social media channels. Working for Heart Space has strengthened my administrative, organizational, and written communication capabilities as I have coordinated, articulated, and promoted over fifteen events since I began working with Heart Space in July. Some of my responsibilities and achievement at Heart Space include: 

• Created and continually updated a Linktree as means of centralizing sign-ups, social media channels, and our donation page to point parents and participants towards while we build our website. 
• Initiated the creation of a Pinterest to further promote our page, give participants inspiration prior to attending events, and get an idea of what participants are interested in through collaborative boards. 
• Build a registration form through Sign-Up Genius, create a Facebook event page, and create promotional Facebook and Instagram posts and stories for all 15+ events I have organized thus far. 
• Created original designs and implemented Canva templates to make trendy, visually interesting, and easily readable Instagram and Facebook posts. 
• Led five in-person events including three open studios, one painting workshop, and one poetry night.
